In the past, we developed and built custom-built gangways for mega yachts. This very special gangway is 6,55m long and is divided into 3 main segments. In the retracted position, the entire ladder is under deck ¬ thus, it is no longer visible from the outside. For this ship specifically, we have built a separate hydraulic hatch, which is part of the hull.
In the extended, horizontal position, the ladder has an effective length of 4.4 m and can swing up or down 45°. It is the ladder itself that then regulates the permanent height compensation between shore and sea. In addition, the ladder can be used as a gangway/ bathing ladder due to a locking unit developed in-house. Also, the Stern Ladder features a convincing mid-segment, which has been provided with a parallel guide for the steps. It ensures these steps are always in a horizontal position, no matter how high or low the staircase has been swung.
To safely access the Ladder, we included a slip-on railing with our well-proven rotary lock, which has successfully established itself in the shipping world.
The surface of the Stern Ladder was made in conformity with the highest yacht standards.
