For another mega yacht project, we developed and built a knuckle boom crane with 2 jibs and a rotating platform. Extended in working position, it can reach a radius of just over 4.9 meters with a safety working load of 2.5 tons. The crane has a large slewing range of 350°, allowing it to lift the corresponding lifeboat and lower it into the water.
In cooperation with the shipyard, all possible scenarios of an emergency situation have been simulated and run through so that no surprises may occur in the event of an emergency. The entire crane meets all the required standards and can guarantee the required level of safety.
What is very unique about the crane is the rescue winch for rescue boat crane, which is in-house developed. It has been audited and certified by Llyod’s Register.
The finish also meets the highest level of yacht standards.
- Maximum throat depth of just over 4.9 meters
- SWL 25 kN
- Compact stowage due to knuckle mechanism
- Approval by Lloyd’s Register
- Large slewing range
- In-house developed rescue winch for rescue boat crane
