Abeking & Rasmussen Launches Exceptional 118m Motor Yacht ‘Celerius’ in Black Design

The motor yacht 6507 “Celerius” by Abeking & Rasmussen was launched on December 18, 2022 and is an exceptional ship in black design. It was built in the Abeking & Rasmussen shipyard in Lemwerder and, with an amazing length of 118.20 meters, it is the longest ship built by this shipyard.

The linear and clear design of this yacht is impressive and gives the ship a special elegance. Particularly noteworthy is the Neptune lounge on the starboard side, which is equipped with a 3.40m x 1.30m underwater window and it offers a breathtaking view on the sea.

A major challenge in this project was the 16-meter-long flap for the tender garage on the port side, which was perfectly implemented.

Gilz Tech GmbH built a telescopic light mast with a 3.9-meter lift for this motor yacht, which was installed in the foreship. Just like the hull of the ship, the light mast was executed in a clean black design. The telescopic mast serves as a navigation light and as work lighting for the crew.

In addition, Gilz Tech GmbH built 2 gangways with their corresponding watertight closure flaps at the stern of the ship. What is special about the 2 gangways is the fact that they can extend 4.40 meters out of the ship and swivel 55° upwards and 45° downwards, and the steps remain horizontal at all times. The gangways can also be locked so that they can be used as bathing stairs if necessary.

Gilz Tech GmbH is very proud to have been able to participate in such a significant mega-project. We are very grateful for the high level of initiative and experience that we were able to contribute to the realization of this project, and we wish the new owner and their crew always a safe journey. We also thank the Abeking & Rasmussen shipyard for their trust and we are looking forward to many more exciting projects.
